Phototex – Modern wallpaper design

Modern wall paper design using Digital Wallpaper has never been easier than with Landor Phototex ( www.phototex.co.uk ). The discerning digital printer has been using Phototex for years, more and more it is being used in the office or in the home, not least of all due to its availability in sheets. Landor Phototex is easy to use due to its patented and unique low tack adhesive. The patented adhesives water resistant characteristics make is flexible as an internal and external wall covering. The main thing is that it is easy to put up and take down, no need for steamers and scraping.

Modern wall paper designs printed on Phototex are high impact and can be enhanced with satin or gloss liquid lamination making the colours even more vibrant. Traditional wall paper designs can be left with the matt finish to give that ‘oldie worldie’ look.

• Patented and unique oil based adhesive design specifically for mounting onto any non-porous flat surface.
• Optimised coating and fine textured base for brilliant colours and high resolution printing with aqueous inks (Solvent, Latex and UV ink version available).
• Fast dry time, immediate in most cases.
• Patented adhesive allows repositioning of image over and over again for easy application to the wall or other surfaces.
• No need to strip wallpaper from wall like traditional papers, just remove. 99% no residue when removed.
• Will not remove paint from primed walls and is safe to put over wallpaper.
• Repositionable if there is a need to move from wall to wall.
• Phototex does not rip or wrinkle.
• Results vary on textured walls, bricks and un sealed cement surfaces are not recommended.
• Suitable for kiss/die cutting (use carbide knife).
• Waterproof and suitable for humid and outdoor applications (UV inks must be used for waterproof image).
• Extra protection is achieved with Clearstar liquid lamination.
• Tests have shown Ultrachrome K3 inks are light fast for over 100 years in Phototex.

The fabric material base makes Landor Phototex exceptionally easy to use and hang; wrinkle free. If there is a wrinkle, simply reposition, it is that easy. Unlike pasted wallpaper, once Landor Phototex is finished with you can easily remove Landor Phototex, leaving a 99% residue free wall ready for the next wall covering. Removing Landor Phototex is as quick as pulling a corner and pulling it down.
